Teacher of Religious Education

Required for September 2020

The Governors of this very successful Catholic high school wish to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Teacher of Religious Education. We are looking for an exceptional candidate who will be excited to make a contribution to an already very strong team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious candidate of the highest calibre to join our very successful Religious Education team.

RE enjoys a very high status in our school and every pupil completes a full GCSE in the subject. As a consequence of our recent curriculum review, we are increasing yet again the curriculum time for RE. Our most recent Section 48 Inspection judged leadership of the department as outstanding and remarked that, “Pupils demonstrate a deep pride in all they do in lessons and the quality of their written work is often of a very high standard. Students respond well
to challenging tasks set by their teachers, they are eager to learn and take great interest in their studies. Pupils openly state that RE is one of their favourite lessons as it stimulates their interest and the teachers are always willing to share their knowledge and explain deeper concepts whenever they are unsure.”
